A palpable sense of enthusiasm filled the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium as a substantial number of students participated in the cultural and literary festival, sharing their personal insights and experiences.

As the festivities commenced, a diverse crowd, predominantly consisting of youth and college students, explored various book stalls and engaged in a multitude of activities.

Many attendees commended the initiative, highlighting how the Hindi language serves as a vital medium for connecting with their cultural heritage.

One student expressed to IANS, “I am thrilled to be here, as it represents a convergence of literature and music. The crucial aspect is that Hindi is receiving significant focus. Although today's youth may not prioritize the language, being present here is rewarding, as I will learn extensively.”

She added that such events play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the younger generation and the rich linguistic and cultural tapestry of the country.

Another attendee, who came to participate in Shabdotsav, mentioned, “I am here to engage in activities such as clay modeling. Previously, I have participated in similar festivals where we created human sculptures, historical landmarks, and various artifacts.”

Participants emphasized that these platforms offer them the chance to showcase their talents and acquire new skills. They noted that the festival not only entertains but also fosters an interest in language, art, and culture.

Importantly, the Delhi Shabdotsav 2026 is a venue where Indian narratives, melodies, and ideas are being brought to life, featuring over a hundred scholars from diverse domains, including filmmakers and thinkers, who will share their profound insights over the next three days.
