New Delhi, Feb 24 (NationPress) A SpiceJet flight heading to Leh with approximately 150 passengers safely returned to Delhi Airport on Tuesday shortly after its departure due to a detected technical issue.

All passengers were safely disembarked at the airport.

The Boeing 737, operating flight SG121 from Delhi to Leh, turned back just minutes after takeoff when the crew identified a potential technical problem.

According to an airline spokesperson, “A SpiceJet flight flying from Delhi to Leh on February 24 returned to Delhi after facing a technical issue.”

“The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and all passengers were deplaned without incident. There was no fire warning in the cockpit,” the spokesperson further stated.

As per airport sources, the aircraft potentially encountered an engine issue, likely associated with its second engine.

In a previous incident in November, a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Kolkata made an emergency landing due to an engine failure, reported officials at Kolkata Airport. All passengers and crew were unharmed.

Moreover, in October, a Patna-bound SpiceJet aircraft returned to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue.
