Did Over 10,000 Aspirants Appear for SPIPA’s UPSC Entrance Exam?

Ahmedabad, July 20 (NationPress) More than 10,000 candidates took part in the entrance examination organized by the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) for its UPSC Civil Services training program on Sunday.

The examination took place at various centers in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, and Mehsana, according to information released by the Gujarat government.

This assessment adhered to the official UPSC format, comprising two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2 - which serve as part of the initial screening process. The training initiative is designed to prepare selected candidates for all three stages of the UPSC Civil Services Examination, offering free coaching, library resources, Wi-Fi, and up to seven months of monthly financial aid.

Furthermore, additional incentives are available at each stage - from prelims to the final selection - for candidates who successfully clear the respective levels.

In recent years, Gujarat has witnessed a consistent increase in the number of successful candidates in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, indicating a growing awareness and availability of structured coaching.

In the 2023-24 UPSC results, SPIPA (Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration) alone saw 26 candidates achieve final selections in various All India and Central Services. Over the past three years, SPIPA-trained aspirants have maintained steady success: 16 selections in 2021-22, 26 in 2022-23, and again 26 in 2023-24, culminating in a total of 311 successful candidates.

Remarkably, in recent years, aspirants from Gujarat have attained top All India Ranks, including AIR 2, 4, and 30, highlighting the state’s increasing prominence in one of India's most competitive examinations.

This success can be attributed to enhanced coaching infrastructure, focused mentorship, and state-sponsored training programs like those provided by SPIPA and other regional centers. A distinctive feature of this year’s process was SPIPA’s inclusive approach.

In a significant move towards equitable access, the institute proactively reached out to differently-abled candidates beforehand, ensuring their specific needs were met and allowing them to participate in the examination without any issues. Under the leadership of SPIPA Director Harit Shukla, the exam was conducted seamlessly across all centers, paving the way for another year of impactful public service coaching.

The demand reflects increasing confidence in SPIPA’s results-oriented model: In the 2024 UPSC results, 26 candidates from SPIPA secured final positions, and a total of 311 candidates have entered various All India and Central Services through SPIPA’s coaching since its inception.

In recent years, Gujarat has seen aspirants from SPIPA achieve top national ranks, including AIR 2, 4, and 30, further enhancing the institute’s credibility and attractiveness among UPSC hopefuls.
