Gandhinagar, March 6 (NationPress) - The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, expressed his congratulations on Friday to the remarkable candidates from the state who successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination. A total of 34 aspirants from Gujarat triumphed in the 2025 cycle of this highly competitive national assessment.
In a statement released following the announcement of the results by the UPSC, the Chief Minister emphasized that the success of these candidates has brought significant honor to the state.
“A total of 34 outstanding sons and daughters of Gujarat have successfully passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025, which is an immense source of pride for our state. I wholeheartedly congratulate all the successful candidates and wish them a bright future ahead,” he stated.
Patel also acknowledged the vital role played by the training and academic assistance provided to aspirants through the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), a state-operated institution dedicated to preparing students for competitive exams.
He remarked that the training programs, conducive academic atmosphere, and the persistent efforts of young aspirants from Gujarat are instrumental in their success in national-level exams.
“SPIPA — through exceptional training offered by the Government of Gujarat for competitive exams, a supportive environment, and the unwavering dedication of the state’s youth — is achieving remarkable success. It brings me great joy,” said the Chief Minister.
Referring to the development vision articulated by the Prime Minister, Patel expressed his belief that the newly selected candidates will significantly contribute to public service in their administrative roles.
He mentioned that these aspirants would play a crucial role in realizing the vision of “Viksit Bharat@2047” through their administrative talents and commitment to public good.
“I am confident that you will contribute significantly to actualizing this vision through your administrative skills and set new benchmarks for good governance while prioritizing national service and public welfare,” Patel stated.
The Chief Minister added that the accomplishments of these successful candidates would inspire numerous other young aspirants throughout the state.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination, conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission, aims to recruit officers for India's higher civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS), along with various other Group A and Group B services of the central government.
The selection procedure incorporates a preliminary examination, a main written examination, and a personality test.
This year, Anuj Agnihotri achieved the All India Rank (AIR) 1. A medical graduate (MBBS) from AIIMS Jodhpur, he excelled in the examination with Medical Science as his chosen optional subject.
Rajeshwari Suve M obtained AIR 2, holding a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, and opted for Sociology as her optional subject.
The third rank was achieved by Akansh Dhull, a B.Com graduate from the University of Delhi, who selected Commerce and Accountancy as his optional subject.
