Mahakumbhnagar, Feb 1 (NationPress) Spiritual leader and Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday and visited Mahakumbhnagar for meditation during the ongoing Mahakumbh.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar arrived at Mahakumbh via his private jet, accompanied by 10 to 12 disciples from various nations.

The Chief Minister extended a warm welcome to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, presenting him with a shawl and a basket of fruits.

Upon the arrival of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's convoy, CM Yogi Adityanath convened a key meeting with state senior officials.

Organized under the guidance of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sudarshan Kriya is set to take place at the Mahakumbh, attracting participants from countries such as Germany, Dubai, Japan, and the US.

According to Rishabh Prabhat, a disciple of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the synergy of meditation, yoga, and spirituality will be continuously present in Mahakumbhnagar from February 1 to 5.

About 250 luxurious cottages have been arranged for international guests and devotees.

These cottages will feature modern amenities, alongside a glimpse of Indian culture.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's presence during this auspicious Maha Kumbh will offer a sense of spiritual tranquility not only to national devotees but also to international visitors.

Earlier on the same day, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with his spouse Sudesh Dhankhar, paid a visit to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, where he took a sacred dip and praised the administration for its remarkable arrangements.

Referring to the Mahakumbh as a momentous occasion, the Vice President commended the unprecedented crowd of millions of devotees. He also appreciated the administration's impressive arrangements, calling them beyond imagination.

Vice President Dhankhar acknowledged CM Yogi Adityanath and the administration for executing a miracle.

When discussing the event's organization, the Vice President remarked on how the administration adeptly managed an unfortunate incident (a recent stampede) during the event.

Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasized that the attendance at Mahakumbh matches the population of the United States.

He also pointed out the provision of over one lakh toilets and free meals for thousands.

Describing the experience as one of the happiest moments of his life, he expressed, "When I took a dip, I realized there is no country like India.”

He credited the dedication, capability, and cultural understanding of CM Yogi Adityanath for making this remarkable event feasible, stating: "When service to the nation is prioritized, miracles transpire."

A special aircraft was arranged for the Vice President's travel.

The Mahakumbh celebrations are drawing millions of devotees globally.

To ensure the safety of all pilgrims, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has implemented strict measures to maintain order during this period.
