The facility is designed for scientific storage of medicines and vaccines — a technical phrase that carries real weight in hilly terrain, where cold-chain failures and delayed supplies have historically undermined public health delivery.

Once operational, the store is intended to ensure medicines and vaccines reach health centres on time, reducing the supply-chain friction that remote geography creates.
