Patna, June 17 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, has vehemently criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government, accusing them of widespread corruption and nepotism, asserting that they have failed the people of Bihar.
On Monday, he also introduced a digital initiative aimed at engaging the youth, promising a vision for a "new Bihar".
"The public is deeply dissatisfied with the 20-year-old failing administration. They are eager to see Nitish Kumar ousted. The Chief Minister is oblivious, and the government lacks direction," Tejashwi stated during a media briefing in Patna.
He claimed that nepotism is rampant within the NDA government, deriding it as the "Bhuja Party", asserting that when job opportunities arise, the relatives of the ruling party leaders are favored for appointments.
"Why does Bihar remain the poorest state in India? Why is there such a high rate of youth migration? There is a government, yet not a single sugar mill has resumed operations, nor has any food processing unit been established. This deeply troubles me," he expressed.
Tejashwi reiterated that significant progress was made in health, education, and other vital areas during the 17 months of the RJD-led government.
To further engage the youth, he launched a new portal and established a volunteer group called "Tejashwi Digital Force", inviting young individuals to unite for transformative change.
"If you aspire to earn an honest living and promote good governance, join us. This portal aims to assemble a team of dedicated youth," he remarked.
The portal enables users to register by providing their name, mobile number, district, Lok Sabha, and Assembly information, while offering updates about the Rashtriya Janata Dal's mission under the campaign "Let's Make Bihar".
Tejashwi raised serious concerns regarding the redevelopment project of the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), questioning the inaction against relevant officials.
He also called for transparency from the NDA government in the state.
"We held a press conference on Sunday and sent letters, but Nitish Kumar has not responded. Did he even receive the letter? Is anyone informing him about these critical issues?" Tejashwi questioned.
Addressing the Women's Reservation Bill and the caste census, the Leader of the Opposition accused the BJP of hypocrisy.
"The BJP is a party of reservation thieves. They failed to conduct the caste census in 2021 and are now under pressure due to elections. The Women's Reservation Bill has been passed, but when will it be implemented?" he inquired.
He concluded his remarks by pledging to metaphorically "raid" the corrupt system once more, urging the populace to reject the "corrupt and ineffective" NDA government in the upcoming Assembly elections slated for later this year.
