Hyderabad, Aug 8 (NationPress) BJP MP M. Raghunandan Rao has once again been targeted with a threat call on Friday. An unidentified individual contacted the Lok Sabha member, claiming he is in Hyderabad and threatening to kill him by the evening.
The MP representing the Medak constituency has reported this incident to the police and provided them with the phone number from which the call originated. Authorities are currently investigating to track down the person responsible for this alarming threat against the BJP leader.
This marks the sixth such threat call received by the MP in recent months.
Previously, on June 29, he received a call from someone who claimed to be a Maoist from Madhya Pradesh, threatening his life.
During a program at Dammaiguda in the Medchal district, he received a second call from the same number shortly after. He recorded this call and subsequently filed a complaint with the DGP and the Medak SP.
Earlier, on June 23, the MP had faced similar threats, with callers asserting that five teams were dispatched to execute him on the orders of the Maoist committee from Andhra Pradesh.
These threats are believed to be a response from Maoist factions to Operation Kagar, an anti-Maoist initiative carried out by security forces in neighboring Chhattisgarh.
Following these incidents, police had advised the MP to remain vigilant and assured him of their efforts to locate the caller.
In light of the serious nature of the threats, armed personnel and an escort vehicle were deployed for the MP's protection.
Even before the police could identify the previous callers, the MP received yet another threat call on Friday.
The ongoing series of threats has raised significant concern among the MP's supporters and party members, who are urging law enforcement to escalate their investigation and identify the individuals behind these alarming communications.
