Hyderabad, March 20 (NationPress) The Governors and Chief Ministers of the two Telugu states have conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This significant festival, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramzan, is to be observed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
Telangana's Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla, expressed his greetings to the Muslim population on this festive occasion.
“As the revered month of Ramadan draws to a close, I extend my warmest wishes to the Muslim community on this joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. I hold deep respect for the teachings of the Holy Quran and their significant impact on society over the ages. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone, wishing for well-being, prosperity, and peace around the globe,” the Governor stated in his message.
“Ramadan is a period of self-discipline and spiritual contemplation, urging us to uphold the values of dignity, the sanctity of life, and commitment to our faith. Eid-ul-Fitr is an occasion for celebrating blessings, spreading love, and envisioning a brighter future. Wishing everyone a joyous Eid. Eid Mubarak to all,” he added.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy also shared his warm wishes with the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He expressed his hopes that Muslim families celebrate the festival with joy and enthusiasm alongside their loved ones.
The Chief Minister noted that Ramzan symbolizes secularism and communal harmony.
He highlighted that the rigorous fasting practiced by Muslims during this holy month and acts of charity (Zakat and Fitra) serve as a powerful inspiration for humanity.
Emphasizing Telangana as a representation of Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb, the Chief Minister affirmed that the state government prioritizes the empowerment of Muslim minorities.
He expressed his wishes for the prosperity of Telangana and prayed to Allah for harmony, happiness, and peace among the people.
Andhra Pradesh Governor, S. Abdul Nazeer, also extended greetings to Muslims on this festive day.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu sent his best wishes to his Muslim brothers and sisters.
