Nagpur, May 12 (NationPress) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation, stating that during the aftermath of the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai, it was insisted that terrorism and the masters who support it should not be seen as separate entities.
“Today, Prime Minister Modi introduced three 'new normals'. Any act of terrorism will be treated as an assault on India and will evoke an equally robust response. We will not condone any nuclear blackmail and will view terrorists alongside their sponsors, notably the Pakistani government. These are crucial points. Historically, following each terrorist incident, the Pakistani government claimed a lack of involvement in terrorism. However, this narrative will change now. India has made its stance undeniably clear to the world,” he stated.
He highlighted that PM Modi elaborated on how India conducted operations even within the Punjab province.
“He also indicated that Pakistan reached out to India in trepidation, seeking a ceasefire. This illustrates how India executed Operation Sindoor with remarkable strength, power, patience, and precision. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Army and thank PM Modi for his leadership,” he remarked.
Fadnavis noted that the Prime Minister made it evident in his address that discussions will now exclusively focus on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut shared a post on X featuring a photo of US President Donald Trump, stating, “Papa halted the war by threatening trade shutdown! This is genuine Vishwaguru (world leader)! The others are mere pretenders!!”
Shiv Sena leader and former minister Aaditya Thackeray expressed hope that the Government of India would clarify that Kashmir is not a subject for discussion. “Kashmir is an integral part of India and always will be. It is NOT an international matter, nor even a bilateral issue. The only bilateral aspect pertains to the region of PoK. That area rightfully belongs to India and needs to be reclaimed,” he stated in his post on X.
Clyde Crasto, National Spokesperson of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP, affirmed, “The execution of Operation Sindoor is credited to the Indian Army.”
