Guna, Nov 20 (NationPress) In a tragic incident, three young men lost their lives instantly, while four others sustained life-threatening injuries in a devastating head-on crash involving their car and a speeding truck in the Bajranggarh police station area of Madhya Pradesh's Guna district on Thursday.

The collision occurred around 4 a.m. near the Duhai Mandir turn on Aron Road, a location notorious for being an “accident black spot,” as recognized by both locals and authorities.

Sub-Divisional Officer (police) Priyanka Mishra informed IANS that the group of seven close friends was traveling in a Maruti Suzuki Swift from Aron to Guna when their vehicle met with a horrific crash while negotiating the treacherous curve. The car collided head-on with a heavily loaded truck speeding from the opposite direction.

“The force of the impact was so intense that the entire front section of the car was utterly destroyed, leaving the occupants trapped inside,” the officer explained.

The three deceased have been tentatively identified as Akash, Namo Narayan, and Manish, with final identification pending until family members confirm their identities.

The four injured individuals—Suraj, Ajay Shakya, Yogesh, and another Akash—are currently battling for their lives in critical condition at the Guna district hospital.

After the crash, the truck veered off the road, overturned, and came to a stop. The driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have confiscated the truck, filed a case under provisions for rash driving and causing death by negligence, and initiated a manhunt.

Authorities are reviewing nearby CCTV footage in an effort to locate the fleeing driver. Residents quickly gathered at the scene after hearing the deafening crash, and with the aid of cranes, helped extricate the victims from the mangled wreckage.

Heartbreaking scenes unfolded as family members arrived at the site, overwhelmed with grief upon seeing their loved ones. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.
