According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), a total of 210 injuries were reported citywide during the events.
One of the deceased was identified as Jagmohan Shivkiran Chaudhary, a 39-year-old Govinda participant, who tragically fell and sustained injuries while trying to reach a Dahi Handi from a balcony.
The second victim was a 14-year-old boy who collapsed while sitting in a tempo during the celebrations. Despite suffering from jaundice, he had participated with his team. While seated in the tempo, he suddenly felt faint and was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
