Earlier in the week in Karnataka's Vijayapura, a young man lost his life and two others suffered severe burns after coming into contact with a live wire during the immersion of a Ganapati idol.
The victim, Shivaji alias Shubham Sakpal (21), from Ramprasad Galli, died instantly, while Lakhan Chavan and Prabhu Jagate were urgently hospitalized due to serious injuries.
This tragic incident occurred near Gandhi Chowk, Dobale Galli, as the trio attempted to manually clear the live wire with a stick, inadvertently making contact while the vehicle and DJ system brushed against the wire.
Recently, another heartbreaking incident was reported from West Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, where a tractor carrying devotees overturned during Ganesh festival celebrations, resulting in four fatalities and one critical injury.
