The unfortunate events transpired late on Monday night. The first incident occurred in Bandlaguda, where two individuals reportedly perished and another sustained injuries from an electric shock while moving a large Ganesh idol for installation.
The incident took place when the victims made contact with an overhead electric wire while clearing the path for the towering 23-ft idol. The injured individual has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police have transferred the bodies to the government-operated Osmania Hospital for autopsy.
