The ordeal began when Shivani, an 18-year-old girl hailing from Ashraf Tola in Beniganj, allegedly took her own life by consuming poison under questionable circumstances around 11 a.m. on Thursday. Her health rapidly declined. Initially, her family sought help from an unqualified doctor in Beniganj, but the doctor, witnessing her dire condition, promptly referred her to the Community Health Centre, where she was pronounced dead.
This devastating news shocked her family. Upon notification, law enforcement arrived at the location and sent her body for a post-mortem examination in Hardoi.
Police Inspector Omprakash Saroj mentioned that the death occurred under dubious circumstances and that the cause will be determined only after the post-mortem report is available.
