The victim, who worked as a daily-wage labourer, was discovered on Saturday morning, lying unconscious with a head injury beneath a tree in Kulcharam mandal. She had left her home for work on Friday. Local residents notified the police upon finding her.

Despite being transported to a local hospital and later referred to a medical facility in Hyderabad, she tragically succumbed to her injuries on the way Saturday night.

Authorities suspect that the woman was a victim of gang rape, with her assailants allegedly striking her with a boulder post-assault.
