Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary was also present at this commemorative event.
In his remarks, Choudhary stated, "I paid homage to our first President, Desh Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad, during the state function organized to mark his death anniversary, alongside Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, at both Rajendra Chowk and the Rajendra Ghat Samadhi site in Patna. His values of simplicity, humility, scholarship, and unwavering commitment to our nation will continue to motivate the people of India."
Numerous senior administrative officials were in attendance, including Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Pratyaya Amrit, Chief Secretary, Kumar Ravi, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Chandrashekhar Singh, and Tyagarajan SM, Patna District Magistrate, as well as Kartikeya Sharma, Patna SSP, among others.
A significant number of citizens also came together to honor the legacy of the former President.
After the tribute ceremony, the Chief Minister reviewed the electric crematorium facilities at Bans Ghat.
He also evaluated the Mandiri Nala drainage system and the newly built crematorium within the Bans Ghat area, providing necessary instructions for maintenance and enhancements. Once the Mandiri drain is completed, Bans Ghat will be connected to the four-lane road near Beiley Road at the Income Tax roundabout.
This state ceremony underscored Bihar's homage to Dr. Rajendra Prasad's enduring legacy, celebrating his role as a freedom fighter, influential statesman, and the inaugural President of a free India.
