Bhopal, Nov 18 (NationPress) Prominent BJP figure Uma Bharti paid a visit to Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday, presenting a memorandum that had received approval during the 'Gau Samvardhan Sankalp Sabha', a gathering organized by a social organization in Bhopal last month.
Subsequently, in a post on X, the former Chief Minister revealed that she delivered a memorandum to CM Yadav, which was endorsed by farmers and cow enthusiasts during a program held by the 'Mata Beti Bai Social Welfare' foundation. Ashok Tripathi, who convened the event, was present with her.
"I trust (CM) Mohan Yadav to convert these requests regarding cow protection and husbandry into actionable government policies," the outspoken BJP leader, who was the keynote speaker at the event, expressed on X.
Following this, she visited the BJP headquarters in Bhopal, where she met with the state party chief Hemant Khandelwal and other party members and workers.
While addressing the media, Bharti praised the decision of the CM Mohan Yadav-led BJP government to revoke the land pooling scheme in the area designated for Ujjain's Simhastha (Kumbh) mela, asserting that it reflects the Chief Minister's dedication to "people's governance."
"The withdrawal of this policy is commendable. This is not a tyrannical government," Bharti stated in response to a media inquiry at the BJP office.
When questioned about the purpose of her visit to the BJP office, she remarked, "I came to see my brother, Hemant Khandelwal."
This development comes shortly after Bharti highlighted the challenges facing the current Chief Minister as he nears the two-year mark in office this December.
In her post on X, Bharti mentioned that CM Mohan Yadav's primary challenge is to modernize Madhya Pradesh and ensure that the promised investments lead to actual job creation.
She emphasized the need for the state to become the leading region in cow husbandry and agricultural production sourced from bovine species, to consistently evaluate the liquor policy, and improve education and healthcare facilities while ensuring a corruption-free administration.
While discussing these challenges, Uma Bharti asserted that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav possesses the capability to tackle them, which is why the top BJP leadership has placed their trust in him, and all believe he can rise to the occasion.
Importantly, Bharti recently expressed her desire to return to electoral politics and run in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections after nearly a decade away from active politics.
