Bengaluru, Nov 18 (NationPress) After captivating audiences in the UAE for three seasons, the World Tennis League (WTL) is poised to make its debut in India this December.

Scheduled from December 17-20 in Bengaluru, this four-day tournament will take place at the esteemed SM Krishna Tennis Stadium, under the management of the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association.

This edition promises a stellar lineup of tennis stars, featuring Daniil Medvedev, Nick Kyrgios, Elena Rybakina, Paula Badosa, Rohan Bopanna, Gael Monfils, Arthur Fils, Sumit Nagal, Magda Linette, and Marta Kostyuk. Highlighting the rise of tennis in the country, WTL has also included India's prominent players such as Yuki Bhambri, Ankita Raina, Shrivalli Bhamidipaty, Maaya Revathi, Dhakshineswar Suresh, and Shivika Burman. This initiative will undoubtedly promote the sport's growth in India and thrill tennis enthusiasts across the nation.

Commenting on her debut in India, Elena Rybakina, currently ranked World No. 5, expressed, “I’ve heard so much about the tennis culture in India, and I’m excited to make my first appearance here with WTL. The league offers an exhilarating format, and I’m looking forward to relishing every moment on the court with my team.”
