Bengaluru, Nov 18 (NationPress) After three successful seasons in the UAE, the World Tennis League (WTL) is gearing up for its inaugural event in India next month. Scheduled from December 17-20 in Bengaluru, this four-day tournament will take place at the SM Krishna Tennis Stadium, which is under the management of the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association.

This edition of the tournament continues the WTL’s tradition of excellence, featuring a remarkable roster of tennis talent, including Daniil Medvedev, Nick Kyrgios, Elena Rybakina, Paula Badosa, Rohan Bopanna, Gael Monfils, Arthur Fils, Sumit Nagal, Magda Linette, and Marta Kostyuk.

With the growth of tennis in the nation, WTL has also incorporated India's standout athletes such as Yuki Bhambri, Ankita Raina, Shrivalli Bhamidipaty, Maaya Revathi, Dhakshineswar Suresh, and Shivika Burman.

Renowned for its unique team format and high-level competition, the World Tennis League has become a significant event in the tennis calendar, drawing interest from players and fans across the globe.

Commenting on her debut in India, World No. 5 Elena Rybakina expressed, “I’ve heard so much about the tennis culture in India, and I’m excited to make my debut here with WTL. The league features an exhilarating format, and I’m eager to relish every moment on the court with my team.”
