During an event in the Tehri Garhwal district, the Chief Minister emphasized that the House of Himalaya brand is helping local products gain remarkable visibility both nationally and internationally.
Initiatives like the Farm Machinery Bank, Film Policy, Apple Mission, and Homestays are all contributing to bolstering the local economy, he stated.
Chief Minister Dhami made these remarks at the launch of the 49th Shri Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair in Tehri Garhwal, where he also hoisted a flag, as reported by an official source.
At this inaugural event, Dhami announced several projects and approved plans for the beautification of canals, buildings, roads, and temples.
Earlier in the day, he met with Narendra Jeet Singh Bindra, the Chairman of the Gurudwara Shri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust, in Dehradun to discuss enhancements related to infrastructure and logistics for the forthcoming Yatra.
Bindra informed the Chief Minister that this year's Hemkunt Sahib Yatra witnessed a record attendance of 275,000 pilgrims from India and around the globe.
During the Kunjapuri Fair, Dhami inaugurated a development exhibition, reviewed stalls established by various departments, and paid homage by garlanding the statues of immortal martyrs and the Freedom Struggle Martyrs' Memorial.
The Chief Minister remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, efforts to preserve India's rich cultural heritage are being executed efficiently.
Under PM Modi’s guidance, the state government is dedicated to the holistic development of Uttarakhand and is consistently working to conserve religious sites and maintain its identity, Dhami mentioned.
He also noted that Uttarakhand is the first state in the nation to enforce the Uniform Civil Code.
Moreover, through the implementation of a robust anti-plagiarism law, over 26,000 youth have received transparent employment opportunities in the past four years.
Dhami highlighted initiatives aimed at preventing religious conversions and eliminating illegal encroachments, which have elevated the state’s status and recognition. The state government is committed to making Uttarakhand a forerunner among states, he asserted.
