New Delhi, Jan 17 (NationPress) Following the inauguration of numerous developmental initiatives by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, including the Archaeological Experiential Museum, in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthplace, Vadnagar, located in Gujarat's Mehsana district, PM Modi shared a compelling video that captures the rich cultural heritage of this ancient town.

In a clip exceeding six minutes, PM Modi remarked, "The illustrious history of Vadnagar in Gujarat dates back over 2,500 years. Unique measures have been implemented here to preserve and safeguard it.”

This distinctive museum not only illustrates the antiquity of Vadnagar but also emphasizes the contributions of its culture, trade, urban planning, education, and governance through various historical epochs.

Vadnagar, located in Mehsana district, is the native village of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he spent his formative years and acquired his primary education.

Home Minister Shah also inaugurated the 'Prerna complex', which aims to establish educational institutions in the town, inspiring youth to draw motivation from PM Modi's life story and encourage them to pursue similar aspirations.

After the launch of several projects, the Union Home Minister stated that Vadnagar is among the oldest cities globally, having shaped the culture and traditions of various eras with its continuous vibrancy. He confirmed that Vadnagar's timeline extends for thousands of years, with evidence supporting its existence for over 2,500 years.

Importantly, Vadnagar's extensive history and cultural legacy have been corroborated by recent research findings.

Last year, a collaborative study by researchers from IIT Kharagpur, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Deccan College documented evidence of human habitation in the city tracing back to 800 BCE. The report from IIT Kharagpur also revealed deep archaeological excavations at Vadnagar, signaling the rise and fall of various kingdoms.
