Varanasi, Feb 1 (NationPress) In a significant announcement, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the Budget 2025, which guarantees no income tax for individuals with annual earnings up to Rs 12 lakh, including standard deductions (amounting to Rs 12.75 lakh). This momentous decision has been celebrated by educators in Varanasi as a crucial support for the middle-class population, expressing gratitude towards the Modi-led administration for addressing their priorities.

Speaking to IANS, Abhishek Singh, a professor at Uday Pratap College, shared his excitement: "This tax relief will greatly assist the middle class. The increasing taxes that burdened us will now lessen, providing essential relief to everyday individuals."

Sanjeev Kumar, an assistant professor, remarked, "For an extended period, many felt the government was distancing itself from its citizens, particularly the working class. However, this time, the Finance Minister has made sure that working individuals, especially those with financial obligations or educational debts, will experience a noticeable improvement. The tax filing process, which once felt cumbersome, has been streamlined, and for that, we extend our gratitude to the Finance Minister and Modi ji. We sincerely value this change."

Ashok Kumar Singh from Harish College commented, "It's encouraging to see the government finally directing its attention towards the middle class. Those of us in public service consistently fulfill our tax responsibilities, and until now, we often found ourselves excluded from exemptions. This alteration, though delayed, is a positive advancement. Saving this money will enable us to invest in various areas, and for that, we are thankful."

Narendra Pratap Singh, another professor, added, "The service class has frequently endured the majority of the tax load, while other groups received relief. The middle class has always paid its fair share honestly, and it’s uplifting to witness the government now recognizing our contributions."

Ajay Prakash, a professor at Uday Pratap College, stated, "This is a substantial relief for the middle class. I would argue that it is the best Budget India has seen to date. We will benefit from it as it will save us more than Rs 10,000 monthly, which we can allocate for other needs."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised the Union Budget 2025, referring to it as a "Janata Janardan Ka Budget" and highlighting its people-centered approach that will advance India's developmental journey.

Reflecting on the Budget, PM Modi characterized it as a pivotal moment in India's progress. "This is a budget for the aspirations of 140 crore Indians. It will realize the dreams of every citizen. We have opened multiple sectors for the youth, and the general populace will be central to India’s mission of becoming a developed nation. This Budget is a force multiplier," he stated.
