New Delhi, March 30 (NationPress) With a vision for youth-driven nation-building and governance, the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 is set to commence here on Tuesday, serving as an avenue for connecting young minds with politics and public policy.
A total of 108 participants, primarily the top three candidates from each State/UT, have been chosen to take part in this national-level round of the Youth Parliament, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Under the leadership of Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, the Parliament’s agenda will include a Question Hour centered around One Nation, One Election and Viksit Bharat, culminating in a formal resolution.
The participants will also engage in a masterclass led by a senior member of Parliament, enhancing their oratory and leadership skills, as stated on Sunday.
To provide participants with authentic parliamentary experience, they will have the opportunity to attend sessions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Additionally, a visit to the Prime Minister Sangrahalaya is planned to give them insights into India’s political evolution and notable leadership stories.
The event will conclude with an Awards Ceremony on April 3, where the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Awards and National Youth Awards will be presented.
The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is divided into three essential phases, with preliminary stages conducted at district and state levels.
During the District Nodal rounds, discussions on One Nation, One Election reached every locality through extensive dialogues held at 300 district nodes. Candidates were required to upload a one-minute video responding to the question: “What does Viksit Bharat mean to you?”
More than 75,000 young individuals submitted their video entries via the MY Bharat portal, demonstrating their enthusiasm and dedication to shaping the nation’s future. The entire selection process was digitized, reflecting the increasing integration of technology in governance initiatives.
The State Rounds took place in over 17 State assemblies and other governmental venues. These sessions were overseen by Assembly Speakers and Governors, enhancing the credibility and importance of the discussions led by youth.
