Jaipur, Sep 24 (NationPress) Students with visual impairments in Rajasthan's government schools are set to gain access to Computer Science education. This significant announcement was made by Education Minister Madan Dilawar during a celebration held at the Government Blind School in Anganwa, Jodhpur, organized by visually impaired educators and students.

The Principal, Prakash Chandra Khinchi, welcomed Minister Dilawar with a shawl at the school entrance. The Minister expressed heartfelt support for the students and embraced the Principal.

As part of the event, the Minister planted a Peepal tree and engaged with the students to better understand their requirements.

During the discussions, Vijay Bhanu, a student in Class 11, voiced the difficulties faced by visually impaired students in learning technology, specifically the lack of Computer Science as a subject.

In response, Minister Dilawar announced that Computer Science will be available in all four government blind schools starting next academic year.

While addressing the attendees, Minister Dilawar stated, “Helping the visually impaired is akin to serving God. We must do everything possible for our visually impaired siblings. My dedication to this cause dates back to 1993, and I aim to optimize government schemes for their benefit. We will also consult District Collectors to improve playground accessibility.”

He continued, “It’s a joy to interact with you all. Next time, I promise to spend more time conversing with you.”

The Minister also inaugurated a solar energy panel on the roof of the school hostel and shared cheerful moments with visually impaired students playing carrom on his way out.

At the event, Nazbal Hussain Pathan, the Panchayat Primary Education Officer from Banswara, presented Minister Dilawar with a saffron scarf and a portrait of goddess Tripura Sundari, commending his unwavering commitment to the visually impaired.

Among the officials present were Joint Director of Education Om Singh Rajpurohit, Additional CEO of Zila Parishad Ganpat Suthar, BJP Jodhpur Rural District President Tribhuvan Singh Bhati, and former Barmer District President Swaroop Singh Khara.
