VP Dhankhar Calls on Corporates to Channel Investments into Education

New Delhi, Dec 15 (NationPress) A true leader is one who looks beyond the present moment and considers the future, stated Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday, as he encouraged corporations to direct their investments towards education.

While addressing attendees at Jiwaji University in Gwalior, Dhankhar praised the educational vision of Maharaja Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia, asserting, “The Late Maharaja was a figure of remarkable energy and steadfast dedication, personifying the ethos of service and nation-building. He was quick to foster nationalism and let it flourish.”

“His leadership was characterized by foresight, bravery, and a commitment to education, prioritizing public welfare and advancement,” Dhankhar stated in a video shared on his social media platform, X.

Calling investment in education a vital step for both the present and the future, he emphasized that this would transform our growth trajectory from incremental to vertical.

“Furthermore, we must ensure that education is not commercialized — it is a service and must be regarded as such,” he asserted.

He urged that the vision of Maharaja Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia for education should be upheld, stating that industries, businesses, and corporations must invest in education and contribute CSR funds to support educational institutions.

The Vice President remarked that he would always cherish the significant moment of unveiling the statue of a distinguished individual, who was among the first to connect with Bharat following independence in response to the nationalism call by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Dhankhar highlighted that the urgent requirement is for quality education accessible to all. “This transformation is swiftly taking place across the nation,” he noted.

“To the youth, we are living in an era filled with hope and potential. Today, you have the opportunity to fully realize your capabilities and aspirations, thanks to a system free from corruption and favoritism,” he conveyed.

Commending the government for advancements in digital public infrastructure and technological integration, Dhankhar remarked: “In the past, acquiring jobs, contracts, and even basic services often required unethical means. Today, due to technology, these significant transformative changes are now a reality.”

“Those who believed they were above the law have been reminded of the principle of equality before the law,” he concluded.
