New Delhi, Sep 2 (NationPress) German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul touched down in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning, marking the start of a two-day official engagement in India. This visit highlights the escalating strategic significance of Indo-German relations.

Scheduled from September 2 to 3, this trip was confirmed by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), which underscored the robust and evolving connections between the two democracies. This marks Minister Wadephul’s inaugural visit to India in his current role.

Referring to India as a “key partner in the Indo-Pacific,” Wadephul pointed out the extensive avenues for bilateral collaboration.

“India and Germany share strong ties politically, economically, and culturally. There exists a significant opportunity to enhance our strategic partnership, encompassing areas from security collaboration to technology and innovation, as well as the recruiting of skilled workers,” he stated before his departure.
