New Delhi, Oct 5 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, emphasized on Sunday that the government is wholeheartedly dedicated to aiding the Prajapati (potter) community within the city by enhancing the visibility of their products and fostering self-reliance.

During her address at the Prajapati (Kumhar) Mahakumbh, an event organized by the National Prajapati Federation at Adarsh Ramlila Ground in Narela, Outer Delhi, she assured attendees that her administration will persist in its endeavors for the welfare, education, skill enhancement, and empowerment of the Prajapati community.

Reiterating her allegiance to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding ‘Swadeshi’ and ‘Vocal for Local,’ CM Rekha Gupta stated that the Delhi government is implementing substantial initiatives to promote locally made handicrafts and assist artisans in becoming self-sufficient.

She commended the talent, diligence, and creativity of the Prajapati (Kumhar) community, expressing that their traditional craftsmanship and commitment are remarkably inspiring.

Furthermore, she affirmed the government’s unwavering support for the community in every possible manner.

Present at the event were Member of Parliament Yogender Chandolia, MLA Rajkaran Khatri, numerous dignitaries, social organizations, and local residents from the Prajapati community.

While engaging with community representatives and artisans, the Chief Minister praised their craftsmanship and industrious nature, referring to their work as a profound source of inspiration.

She reiterated the administration’s resolve to render all necessary assistance and support.

The Chief Minister conveyed that the Delhi Government will implement decisive actions to protect the interests of the Prajapati community and persist in its efforts towards their welfare, education, skill development, and empowerment.

She explained that these initiatives would not only enhance the economic conditions of the community but also provide new recognition to local industries.

CM Gupta articulated that traditional craftsmanship transcends mere livelihood; it embodies India’s rich cultural legacy, and it is the government’s duty to safeguard and fortify it.

In her praise for the Prajapati community, she noted that they are genuine creators who transform clay into deities, utensils, and beauty, thus connecting society through their labor and artistry. She also acknowledged that for years, the community has been overlooked in terms of recognition and opportunities, but now the Delhi government is poised to take decisive and meaningful action for their upliftment and empowerment.
