New Delhi, Oct 6 (NationPress) The newly introduced Desh ka Swasthya Parikshan initiative marks a significant national movement towards preventive health, as stated by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, on Monday.
This campaign was unveiled during the 10th Ayurveda Day celebration in Goa.
Executed by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), which operates under the Ministry of Ayush, this initiative seeks to empower individuals by enhancing their health awareness, promoting preventive practices, and motivating the adoption of Ayurveda-based diets and lifestyle habits for enduring health benefits.
“Desh Ka Swasthya Parikshan is not just a health evaluation; it represents a national awakening towards preventive health. By prompting citizens to assess and comprehend their health conditions, we are establishing a healthier future for Bharat. This initiative aims to integrate Ayurveda’s age-old wisdom regarding diet, lifestyle, and equilibrium into the daily routines of individuals in a scientific and accessible manner,” expressed Jadhav.
Anticipating widespread involvement from institutions, students, healthcare professionals, and the general public, this campaign is set to become one of the most extensive preventive health awareness efforts in the nation.
‘Desh Ka Swasthya Parikshan’ represents a collective movement to redefine health through Ayurveda, reaffirming India’s commitment to holistic well-being for everyone.
The program will utilize the CCRAS Swasthya Assessment Scale—a validated software tool aimed at evaluating an individual's health based on classical Ayurvedic principles.
This innovative tool allows Ayurvedic practitioners to assess various health metrics through a structured questionnaire rooted in ancient texts, aiding participants in understanding vital health indicators while promoting adherence to suitable diet and lifestyle choices, as per the Ayush Ministry.
“The CCRAS Swasthya Assessment Scale is a groundbreaking initiative that merges Ayurveda with structured health assessment. This campaign will uncover significant insights into public health trends while simultaneously encouraging individuals to adopt simple preventive lifestyle changes,” stated Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General of CCRAS.
