Chennai, Oct 6 (NationPress) Dabang Delhi K.C. solidified their lead at the top of the standings by achieving another nail-biting victory against Jaipur Pink Panthers, securing a 29-26 triumph at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Monday.

This victory marks a successful double against the two-time champions.

In a contest dominated by defenders, Sandeep excelled with a high five, amassing seven tackle points, while Ashu Malik contributed significantly with eight raid points. On the other side, Reza Mirbagheri and Deepanshu Khatri each recorded high fives, and Aryan Kumar added four tackle points, yet it was insufficient for their team to clinch the win.

Ashu Malik initiated the match with a spectacular super raid, giving his team an early three-point advantage. Deepanshu Khatri scored the Pink Panthers’ first point with a tackle, and their formidable defense kept them competitive in the opening exchanges.

Fazel Atrachali registered his first tackle, helping Dabang Delhi maintain a two-point lead, while Aryan Kumar leveled the score with a couple of tackles followed by a raid from Meetu. An ankle hold by Deepanshu Khatri granted the Pink Panthers their first lead, concluding the first quarter at 6-5.

As the match progressed, the defenses began to take control, slowing the pace of the game. Sandeep recorded four tackles in the first half, while Ajinkya Pawar's multi-point raid helped maintain a two-point lead for the table-toppers. However, Reza Mirbagheri shone in the closing stages of the half, executing two super tackles to complete his high five, giving the Pink Panthers a 13-12 advantage at halftime.

The second half saw both teams exchanging blows, with defenders setting the tone. Vinay executed a two-point raid to regain the lead for the Pink Panthers, only for Ashu Malik to respond with a two-point raid of his own, achieving the game's first all-out and putting Dabang Delhi ahead once more.

Sandeep completed his high five with additional tackles, while Ajinkya Pawar supported the Joginder Narwal-led squad in establishing a five-point lead. The tackles continued as Deepanshu Khatri also achieved a high five, joining the elite club of top performers.

Despite a less-than-stellar performance, Ashu Malik managed to maintain Dabang Delhi's four-point lead with five minutes remaining. A tackle from Saurabh Nandal extended that lead, but Aashish Kumar's super tackle trimmed the deficit to three points for the Pink Panthers.

A crucial super tackle by Aryan Kumar presented Jaipur Pink Panthers with a chance, narrowing the gap to just one point. Ultimately, Neeraj Narwal stepped up, delivering a pivotal tackle on Ali Samadi and concluding the match with the final raid, sealing the double for the table-toppers with a 29-26 victory.
