Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (NationPress) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi officially launched and announced a series of developmental initiatives valued at over Rs 1100 crore in the election-focused Nuapada district, affirming that his doors are perpetually open to assist the residents with any challenges they encounter.
During his visit to Nuapada district on Monday, CM Majhi emphasized that regardless of distance or size, his administration is dedicated to the growth of every region within the state.
Majhi further mentioned that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the double-engine government remains committed to serving the people of Odisha.
The Chief Minister expressed a profound emotional connection with Nuapada, stating that this bond has intensified over time.
While addressing the public, the Chief Minister remarked, “For many years, numerous underdeveloped areas of the state have voiced concerns about regional disregard. Particularly, the remote districts have been overlooked in relation to other areas. However, our government is now prioritizing every region equally.”
“The Western Odisha Development Council has been bolstered with extra funding, and initiatives are underway for establishing development councils in both North and South Odisha. Our focus is on fostering industry in each district, ensuring balanced industrial growth across all regions,” he added.
The Chief Minister inaugurated and announced projects totaling Rs 1,101 crore for the Nuapada district.
Majhi inaugurated 109 projects worth Rs 64.02 crore and laid the groundwork for 39 projects valued at Rs 159.76 crore.
He also revealed various developmental projects amounting to Rs 75.37 crore for the district.
Additionally, the Chief Minister announced significant projects worth Rs 802.09 crore aimed at enhancing irrigation in Nuapada district.
He asserted that the government is diligently working to guarantee that water reaches the fields of the Anndatas or farmers.
In a pivotal move, Majhi approved a long-standing request from the region on Monday, declaring the Khariar Road area a municipality from the NAC. He also announced that the Komana block of Nuapada district has been designated as NAC.
Furthermore, Sinapali Gram Panchayat and Godal Gram Panchayat have merged and been designated as Sinapali NAC by CM Majhi. This visit marked the Chief Minister's third trip to Nuapada district.
In April, during the Maraguda Mahotsav, he inaugurated projects worth Rs 320 crore and participated in the Shradhanjali Sabha for the late Nuapada MLA Rajendra Dholakia.
So far, CM Majhi has inaugurated projects totaling Rs 1,420 crore for Nuapada district, which encompasses the projects launched and announced on Monday.
The Election Commission of India announced on Monday that the by-election for the Nuapada assembly constituency is scheduled for November 11.
