Patna, June 20 (NationPress) - As Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a series of projects in Bihar on Friday, including the Vande Bharat train, a memorable event from the past emerged online, highlighting his compassion and sensitivity towards party workers. Modi Story, a well-known social media account on X, shared a story from PM Modi's 2019 visit to Bihar that illustrated his dedication and concern for a party 'karyakarta'.
In a video, Mithilesh Kumar Tiwari, a former Bihar MLA, reminisced about an event during PM Modi's 2019 campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, where he was set to speak at two consecutive public rallies. However, an unexpected incident occurred at the first rally which led him to delay the second event.
The ex-MLA recounted, “During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi came to Bihar to address two rallies – one in Khaira (Jamui) and the other in Gaya. After concluding his first rally, as he was preparing to head to the second, one of the party workers collapsed on stage and sustained a head injury.”
“Though the Prime Minister needed to quickly arrive at the gathering in Gaya, he chose to stay longer at the first venue until the injured worker received first aid and was transported to a hospital,” he continued.
“We managed to take the injured karyakarta to a nearby hospital in Jamui, believing our duty was fulfilled. However, PM Modi remained attentive to his welfare even after departing. He called me twice – first after boarding the helicopter and again after arriving in Gaya. After leaving Gaya, he even suggested moving the worker to a larger medical facility in Patna if necessary,” the ex-MLA recounted.
“It's this deep concern and empathy for fellow colleagues that distinguishes PM Modi from other leaders. This is precisely what makes him a leader of distinction,” the former legislator expressed, feeling pride in his involvement in this particular incident.
In conclusion, he noted that PM Modi possesses a remarkable ability to connect with the populace instantly.
“The Prime Minister understands the people. Wherever he visits, he greets them in their local dialect – be it Mithila or Bhojpuri,” he concluded.
