Jaipur, Sep 4 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched a vigorous critique of former CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday, implicating him in discrepancies related to recruitment exams.
Addressing the media at the Jodhpur airport while welcoming BJP national president and Union Minister JP Nadda, Sharma asserted that the BJP administration is committed to pursuing the investigation to its logical endpoint.
Without directly mentioning Gehlot, Sharma remarked, “We took our oath on December 15 and established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) the very next day on the 16th. Now significant figures are emerging in the recruitment scandal. His trusted Personal Security Officer has been apprehended. In this context, who is involved and what actions they might take are evident to all. We will not forgive anyone; the investigation will persist.”
The Chief Minister further condemned the Congress party for “seeking trivial popularity” instead of addressing substantial issues in the Assembly.
“That is the reason why the populace of both the country and the state have turned their backs on them. We are working diligently, treating the underprivileged as paramount,” he added.
Sharma also assessed the impact of heavy rainfall in the state, noting that Rajasthan has experienced substantial precipitation thanks to the grace of Bansiwala.
However, in regions of excessive rainfall, ministers, MLAs, and secretaries have been instructed to remain in the field for two days, survey the affected areas, and compile reports.
“The government stands firmly with the citizens and is ensuring prompt relief,” Sharma stated. He also praised the recent GST reforms introduced by the Centre, describing them as revolutionary.
“These changes were essential for the poor, business people, and the general public. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to lower GST will deliver genuine relief. This represents a significant move toward bolstering the economy,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, BJP National President J.P. Nadda arrived in Jodhpur around 8 PM via special flight. He was greeted by CM Sharma, BJP state president Madan Rathore, and other party leaders.
Nadda, accompanied by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh, will remain in Jodhpur for three days to partake in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s All India Coordination Meeting.
Nadda and Sharma also engaged in a brief conversation in the airport lounge before proceeding to their respective commitments.
