Imphal, Oct 26 (NationPress) The security forces in Manipur apprehended six militants from various prohibited organizations on Sunday, including a female combatant, and seized several weapons and ammunition across different districts, officials reported.
A police spokesperson revealed that the detained militants are affiliated with several extremist factions, such as the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), and People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and were captured in Kakching, Imphal West, and Thoubal districts.
These hardened militants allegedly engaged in a range of criminal activities, including threats, coercive collection of funds from civilians, government personnel, contractors, and others.
Authorities recovered a few Aadhaar cards, incriminating documents, a vehicle, and multiple mobile phones from the detained insurgents.
