Gorakhpur, April 6 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored that honoring womanhood is a sacred obligation for everyone. He remarked that the newly enacted Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam ensures women's representation in crucial sectors such as the legislature.

During a gathering at the Gorakhnath Temple after performing 'Kanya Pujan' on Sunday, CM Yogi extended warm wishes to the residents on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami and the ninth day of Vasantik Navratri.

“This day is spiritually significant for followers of Sanatan Dharma, as we venerate the nine forms of Goddess Durga throughout these nine days. The rituals culminate today with the worship of young girls who symbolize the nine goddesses,” he stated.

The Chief Minister shared images of Kanya Pujan on social media, performed on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri.

“I had the privilege of worshipping girls as Goddesses and offering them prasad. May Mother Jagadamba, the universal mother, bless the world with happiness, peace, and health; this is my heartfelt wish,” he posted on X.

Highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage of respecting women, he said, “Our Sanatan tradition reveres feminine divinity. This sentiment is beautifully observed during both Sharadiya and Vasantik Navratri through Kanya Pujan.”

The Chief Minister called on the public to rise above gender bias and ensure that no girl, woman, or sister experiences injustice or exploitation. “This is a collective responsibility. We can only aspire towards a strong and developed India when we assure a safe and equitable environment for our women,” he added.

Addressing the spiritual significance of Ram Navami, the Chief Minister noted that devotees nationwide celebrate with Akhand Ramayan recitations and devotional music. Millions gathered in Ayodhya for grand festivities and witnessed the majestic Surya Tilak to Ram Lalla.

Reflecting on the monumental event of Lord Ram’s Prakatya (reappearance) in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, he stated, “Breaking the chains of over 500 years of subjugation, the re-establishment of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya signifies a sacred moment for followers of Sanatan Dharma and ignites a new light of hope for the oppressed worldwide.”

He encouraged everyone to draw inspiration from Lord Ram's life, teaching us to uphold dignity, remain composed in adversity, and fulfill personal, familial, social, and national duties with unwavering dedication.

The Uttar Pradesh CM also welcomed the inauguration of India’s first auto bridge -- the Pamban Bridge at Rameswaram -- by Prime Minister Modi.

Describing Rameswaram as one of the holiest sites in India and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, he emphasized how Lord Ram connected north and south India, strengthening the spirit of unity.

“This new bridge in Rameswaram reflects PM Modi’s vision of development deeply rooted in heritage. It’s an honor for all of us to connect with such a historic and divine location through this initiative,” CM Yogi concluded.
