New Delhi, Nov 27 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended India's Generation Z on Thursday for their remarkable confidence and ability to build capacity. Speaking through video conferencing during the launch of the Infinity Campus for the Indian space startup Skyroot and the unveiling of its inaugural orbital rocket, Vikram-I, Modi extolled the youth for their optimistic outlook and inventive spirit.

“Our youth, our Gen Z, are crafting solutions to challenges in every field. Young innovators globally can draw inspiration from the self-assurance of India’s Gen Z,” PM Modi asserted.

He remarked, “The capacity building, positive mindset, and creativity of India’s Gen Z can set a global standard for their counterparts worldwide.”

Highlighting that India’s youth prioritize national interests and seize opportunities, Modi noted that when the government liberalized the space sector, the nation’s youth, particularly the Gen Z cohort, eagerly embraced it.

He pointed out that currently, over 300 space startups are igniting fresh optimism for India's space aspirations. Most of these startups began with small teams—sometimes just two or five individuals—operating out of modest spaces with limited resources yet an unwavering resolve to soar to new heights.

“This spirit has catalyzed a private space revolution in India,” stated the Prime Minister. He highlighted that Gen Z engineers, designers, coders, and scientists are pioneering technologies in areas such as propulsion systems, composite materials, rocket stages, and satellite platforms.

PM Modi emphasized that the youth of India are engaging in fields that were unimaginable just a few years ago.

He noted that India's private space talent is carving out a unique identity on the global stage, making India's space sector an appealing destination for international investors.

The Prime Minister remarked that the transformations in the space sector are part of a broader startup revolution unfolding in India.

“In the past decade, a fresh wave of startups has emerged across various sectors including fintech, agri-tech, health-tech, climate-tech, edu-tech, and defense-tech, with India’s youth—especially Gen Z—delivering innovative solutions in every domain,” PM Modi stated.

He emphasized that “India has ascended to become the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem.”

Once limited to major cities, startups are now proliferating from small towns and villages as well, with the Prime Minister highlighting that India boasts over 150,000 registered startups, many of which have achieved unicorn status.

“India is no longer restricted to apps and services; we are rapidly advancing towards deep-tech, manufacturing, and hardware innovation,” concluded the Prime Minister, expressing gratitude to Gen Z.
