During the CSC CSR Conclave 2025 held in the national capital, Tiwari highlighted the role of CSC in enhancing India’s social capital and promoting rural empowerment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and technology.
This significant gathering represented a crucial step in India’s quest for inclusive growth and rural empowerment, emphasizing technology as a vital element in social transformation.
“CSC exemplifies a transformative concept that bridges the urban-rural divide through technology,” Tiwari remarked, underlining the event's core message of utilizing CSR for a sustainable future through rural empowerment and inclusive growth.
He also recognized the indispensable contribution of CSC Academy in advancing CSR initiatives, particularly in the realm of vocational training and digital empowerment for rural communities, commending CSC’s alignment with national objectives, especially through initiatives like the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
The Conclave, organized by CSC Academy in collaboration with the Indian ESG Network, gathered leaders from government, corporate, and development sectors to explore how CSR can foster environmental sustainability, community development, and transformative change in rural India.
Sanjay Kumar Rakesh, Chairman and Secretary of CSC Academy, emphasized that CSCs serve not merely as digital access points but as catalysts for change, operated by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who empower their communities.
“CSR transcends mere compliance; it is a strategic facilitator for inclusive advancement,” Rakesh asserted, highlighting the Academy's commitment to scalable and measurable CSR initiatives aimed at serving underserved rural populations.
The event also featured a range of expert-led discussions focusing on the intersection of CSR, environmental sustainability, and community progress. Key topics included education, skill development, digital literacy, financial inclusion, women empowerment, and healthcare.
Experts reaffirmed their dedication to harnessing CSR for driving rural transformation through digital inclusion, skill-based education, and public-private partnerships.
