Mohali, Dec 10 (NationPress) The president of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), Amarjit Singh Mehta, has announced that tickets for the upcoming second T20I match between India and South Africa at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, are 95% sold out, indicating a near-capacity crowd.
Additionally, he highlighted that this match will be historic as it marks the venue's first-ever men’s international game. Notable guests from the BCCI are expected, including Mithun Manhas, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
On Thursday, two new stands will be inaugurated, dedicated to former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and the captain of the Indian women's World Cup-winning team, Harmanpreet Kaur.
Mehta expressed, “This is the first-ever men's international match taking place here at PCA Mullanpur Stadium. It's a very big match. Several dignitaries from the BCCI will be in attendance, including the President, Mithun Manhas. Many local delegates are also coming. The Governor and the CM will confirm today, as we have made a special request for them to attend. Hopefully, they will also come tomorrow. 95% of tickets have already been sold at the stadium.”
