Madrid (Spain), Jan 24 (NationPress) - Real Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed the rumors surrounding winger Vinicius Jr on Friday, dismissing speculation of a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia this summer and asserting that the player is not going anywhere.

The previous summer saw interest from various parties eager to sign the Brazilian for the Saudi Pro League, and recent reports have resurfaced in the Spanish media, discussing a potential world-record bid of 350 million euros (approximately 367 million US dollars) for the talented forward.

The impressive performance of Kylian Mbappe and his role on the left side of the Real Madrid attack during Vinicius' absence has added credibility to these rumors, as noted by Xinhua.

However, ahead of the upcoming La Liga match against Real Valladolid, Ancelotti was adamant in his response.

"As far as I know - and I have direct information from the player, he is very happy here and he wants to make history at Real Madrid," Ancelotti stated when questioned about Vinicius' future.

"Everyone is content here, and we aim to create history," he added.

Vinicius will miss the match on Saturday due to a suspension after receiving a red card for aggression during his team's victory in Valencia on January 3. Additionally, he will be absent for next week's Champions League clash against Brest following a yellow card accumulation from the match against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday.

"He (Vinicius) remains the same as always," Ancelotti asserted, emphasizing that Vinicius' time away from the pitch would be beneficial for his recovery and preparation. "He'll utilize these days to be fresh for critical moments."

"He is a player who is indispensable, there is no doubt about that," he concluded.

Currently, Real Madrid leads the La Liga table with 46 points from 20 matches, followed by Atletico Madrid with 44 points from the same number of matches, while Barcelona sits in third with 39 points.
