During the inauguration, Sarma praised Lovlina's efforts, stating, 'Lovlina has not only brought great honor to Assam and India through her Olympic achievement but has also emerged as a source of inspiration for many young athletes. Reflecting on the inception of the academy, Lovlina shared, 'After the 2024 Olympics, I had some time and a plot that I purchased in 2021. I envisioned building an academy with basic infrastructure to allow students to train effectively. Hence, we established the Lovlina Boxing Academy, equipped with a quality boxing ring and gym facilities for both students and the public.'
Elaborating on her vision, she stated, 'My goal is to empower the youth and provide a platform at the grassroots level where they can pursue their ambitions and access necessary resources. My aspiration is to develop elite boxers capable of competing on national and international stages by 2028. I aim to foster young talent to thrive in sports and produce athletes who can represent India and secure medals at the Olympics.'
To ensure affordability, Lovlina has introduced a minimal monthly fee structure of Rs. 500. The academy is now open for new entrants and has organized athletes into three age brackets: 8 to 12 years, 13 to 18 years, and 18 years and above.
