New Delhi, Sep 14 (NationPress) The head coach of the Indian senior men’s national team, Khalid Jamil, announced a roster of 30 potential players for the upcoming October FIFA International Window on Sunday. Among the highlighted names is Sunil Chhetri, a major figure in Indian football, who rejoins the squad after missing out on India's participation in the CAFA Nations Cup.
The preparatory camp is set to commence in Bengaluru on September 20, with players expected to report a day earlier.
Players from Mohun Bagan SG and FC Goa, who are currently engaged in the AFC Champions League, will be called up for the probables list once their commitments conclude.
Additionally, five players are on standby, comprising two from the U23 men’s national team and three senior players, with their names to be disclosed later.
This camp aims to equip the Blue Tigers for their two crucial fixtures in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers Final Round Group C, where they will face Singapore in back-to-back matches on October 9 at the National Stadium, Singapore, and October 14 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Margao.
