Chennai, April 3 (NationPress) Rising star Ayush Mhatre delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 73 runs off 43 balls. Alongside him, Sarfaraz Khan (32 off 12) and Shivam Dube (45 off 27*) contributed crucial late innings to propel Chennai Super Kings to a total of 209/5 in their 20 overs against Punjab Kings during the seventh match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.

The innings for Chennai Super Kings began with a combination of early challenges and aggressive responses. Ayush Mhatre took charge to elevate the score as the team lost key players during the Power-play. The crowd held its breath when Sanju Samson (7), a key player for CSK, fell cheaply again.
