Defending Champions Man Utd Set to Clash with Arsenal in FA Cup Third Round, Villa Welcomes West Ham

London, Dec 3 (NationPress) Defending champions Manchester United have been selected to compete against Arsenal in the third round of this season's FA Cup. The matches for the third round are scheduled to take place during the weekend of January 10-13, although the FA has not yet announced the complete schedule.
This will mark the 17th time that the 14-time champions Arsenal and Manchester United, who have claimed the FA Cup 13 times, will meet in this tournament, including the finals of 1979 and 2005, both of which were won by the Gunners.
In another all-Premier League matchup, the seven-time FA Cup winners Aston Villa will host West Ham United. The two teams have faced each other three times in this competition, with Villa winning twice and suffering one defeat.
Meanwhile, Premier League leaders Liverpool will play at home against League Two side Accrington Stanley. Manchester City, who have lifted the trophy a total of seven times, are set to clash with Salford City, another League Two team.
The 39-year-old defender Ashley Young from Everton might potentially face his son Tyler, who is 18 and plays for Peterborough United, as the Toffees will take on the League One team at home.
Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Tamworth, one of only two non-league teams left in the tournament, while Newcastle United will host Bromley, a League Two newcomer managed by their former goalkeeping coach, Andy Woodman.
