Rourkela, Jan 23 (NationPress) The Tamil Nadu Dragons triumphed in the penalty shootout 4-3 after their Hockey India League 2024-25 Pool B clash with the Hyderabad Toofans ended in a 2-2 stalemate at the Birsa Munda Stadium on Thursday. Blake Govers (4`) and Jip Janssen (37`) netted for the Tamil Nadu Dragons, while Tim Brand (3`) and Maico Casella (59`) contributed for the Hyderabad Toofans.
The match commenced with an electrifying pace as both teams found the net within the first four minutes. The Hyderabad Toofans initiated the scoring in the third minute when Rajinder Singh executed a remarkable run down the left flank, crossing the ball to Tim Brand, who deftly deflected it past David Harte.
