London, Sep 23 (NationPress) England has revealed their squads for the eagerly awaited five-Test Ashes series against Australia along with the upcoming white-ball tour of New Zealand. Ben Stokes will captain the Ashes team while he continues to recover from a shoulder injury that kept him out of the fifth Test against India earlier this summer.
The Ashes lineup is brimming with experience and strength, featuring the return of spinner Shoaib Bashir, who missed part of the India series due to a finger injury, and pacer Mark Wood, who is back after overcoming a left knee problem.
Bashir had been sidelined during the India Test series after suffering a finger injury in the Lord's Test.
This series will represent England's second challenge in the current World Test Championship cycle, having recently completed a thrilling five-match series against India during this summer.
Before the Ashes, England will embark on a tour of New Zealand for three T20Is and three ODIs commencing on October 18, with Harry Brook at the helm in both formats. Key players in the ODI lineup include Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Rehan Ahmed, and Jofra Archer. The T20I squad showcases a blend of seasoned players and emerging talent, including Phil Salt, Jordan Cox, and Luke Wood.
