Pukhraj Singh Gill, the IGPL standout representing Honer Homes Gurugram, claimed his maiden international title at the ADT Players Championship on 9 May in Kuala Lumpur, edging Thanawin Lee and Sean Ramos in a dramatic three-way playoff at Saujana Golf and Country Club's Palm Course. Gill finished at 13-under-par and secured the $19,250 prize after prevailing on the second sudden-death hole with a decisive birdie from a greenside bunker.

How the playoff unfolded

All three players—Gill (72), Lee (68), and Ramos (68)—reached the 18th hole level at 14-under-par after a tense final round. Lee appeared poised for victory when his approach landed just off the green, but a poor chip and a missed 10-foot putt for par handed the advantage back. Both Gill and Ramos made par to force the extra holes. In the first playoff hole, Gill and Ramos both sank birdies—Gill from 10 feet, Ramos from three feet—eliminating Lee after his third shot found a bunker. On the second sudden-death hole, Gill hit his third shot from the bunker to six feet and converted the putt, while Ramos missed a lengthy par attempt after his second shot ended up behind palm trees.

Gill's dominant final round

Gill entered the final round with a one-shot lead over Ramos and started brilliantly, making three birdies in his opening four holes to extend his advantage to five shots. However, dropped shots at the sixth and ninth holes, combined with strong play from Ramos and Lee, allowed both competitors to close the gap. The lead changed hands multiple times down the stretch: Lee took the lead with a four-foot birdie at the par-three 12th, but Gill responded with his own birdie at the par-five 13th. Three consecutive bogeys from the 14th hole threatened to derail Gill's bid, yet neither rival could capitalize on the opening.

Path to the championship

Gill was tied for the lead after the first round, moved to a two-shot advantage after 36 holes, and held a one-shot lead entering the final day. This victory follows his debut professional win on the 2025 IGPL Tour and marks him as the second IGPL player to win on the Asian Development Tour, after Karandeep Kochhar claimed an ADT title in Egypt. Gill currently ranks third on the ADT Order of Merit after four events and will next compete in the AM Green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars at Mazagan Beach Golf Resort.

Supporting cast and reaction

Kartik Singh, another IGPL competitor, recorded the lowest round of the day with a 65 to finish tied for 30th, while Khalin Joshi carded a 77 for a tie for 46th. Gill was immediately surrounded by fellow Indian players Aman Raj and Aryan Roopa Anand, who were competing in the event. Speaking after his victory, Gill said: "It took a long time coming. This feels surreal. I think it's going to take a while to sink in, but I'm just so pumped right now. It's been a great week in Malaysia. I was very happy with the course design, playing it for the first time – it just really suits my eye, I am glad I could play the game I did. I made it a lot more 'interesting' than I would have liked to towards the end. It went into a play-off. And to have won after that I feel I am on cloud nine. It is going to take some time to sink in.
