Gukesh, the reigning world champion, has exhibited remarkable form since his groundbreaking victory against China’s Ding Liren in the World Championship final last December. He is now positioned right behind World No. 2 Hikaru Nakamura (2802) and long-standing leader Magnus Carlsen (2833).

Praggnanandhaa, currently engaged in the Prague Masters, has re-entered the top 10 for the first time since July 2023. His victory at the Tata Steel Masters allowed him to gain 17 points, elevating him to world No. 8 with a rating of 2758.
