Both teams finished the league stage locked on 14 points, with the Royals claiming top spot courtesy of a superior net run rate of 0.920 against the Braves' 0.614.

Guwahati Royals booked their place in the title clash with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Barak Legends in a rain-curtailed semi-final. The innings was lit up by Rohit Sen's explosive 62 off 26 balls, while pace bowler Bastab Roy reinforced his credentials with a sharp 3/18.

Barpeta Braves, meanwhile, edged past Dibrugarh Warriors in a tense semi-final, with Saurav Mousum Dihingia carrying his bat for an unbeaten 63 to guide his side through. Their campaign has been defined by collective resilience and consistent contributions across departments.

Bastab Roy Eyes Purple Cap but Puts Team First

Fast bowler Bastab Roy is the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets, placing him firmly at the top of the Purple Cap standings. Yet the young pacer has been clear about his priorities ahead of the final.

'I don't put individual performance ahead. Yes, I am currently on top of the Purple Cap standings, but that's a different thing. Winning for the team is more important. And playing the final is even better,' Roy said. He also credited the experience around him, naming senior players Rishabh Das, Deepak Das, Mukhtar Hussain, and the Royals' coach Abu sir as key influences during his breakout campaign.

Barpeta's Shubham Backs Unit Over Occasion

All-rounder Shubham Kumar Gupta has been central to Barpeta's run, claiming 19 wickets across the tournament to rank among the leading wicket-takers. He pointed to the team's ability to regroup after setbacks as the defining quality of their campaign.

'The good thing about a good team is that they make a comeback after losing, which we did. Our team played as a unit. That's why we reached here today,' Gupta said. He added that the Braves intend to treat the final like any other fixture: 'We will play the final as we play other matches. There is no pressure that it is the final. We started playing cricket because we liked it.'

Barpeta to Miss Skipper Denish Das

Barpeta will head into the title match without their regular captain Denish Das, who led the side through the bulk of the season before departing to honour his Duleep Trophy commitments. The Braves' squad will need to collectively absorb that leadership void on the biggest night of the tournament.

Beyond the historic title, the final carries substantial financial reward. The champions will take home ₹50 lakh, while the runners-up will receive ₹25 lakh.
