Noida, Feb 1 (NationPress) The Haryana Thunders emerged victorious in the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026, clinching the title in a thrilling final that was decided in the last bout against Delhi Dangal Warriors at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

With a score tied at 4–4 after eight matches, the championship hinged on the final women’s 62kg bout. Paris Olympic silver medalist Iryna Koliadenko excelled under pressure, achieving a decisive technical victory that secured a 5–4 win and the title for Haryana Thunders, marking one of the most exhilarating finals in the league's history.

The champions will take home a reward of Rs. 1.5 crore along with the PWL 2026 trophy, while the runners-up, Delhi Dangal Warriors, will earn Rs. 75 lakh. In individual accolades, Turan Bayramov from Delhi Dangal Warriors was named Player of the Tournament, receiving Rs. 2.5 lakh for winning all his matches in the 57 kg men’s category, amassing a total of 59 points throughout PWL 2026. Meanwhile, Chandermohan from Punjab Royals emerged as the tournament's top point scorer.

Neha Sangwan of Haryana Thunders was awarded Player of the Match for her role in keeping the final fiercely competitive until the last bout. Ronak from Delhi Dangal Warriors earned the title of Fighter of the Match for his remarkable display in the men's 125 kg category, while Akshay Dhere from Haryana Thunders was honored as the Impact Player of the Match for his strong performance in the 57 kg men’s category.

The championship evening commenced with Delhi taking the lead, as the undefeated Turan Bayramov triumphed in the 74kg men’s bout, establishing an early advantage with an 8–1 victory. Haryana quickly leveled the score in the 76kg women’s division, where Kajal Dhochack, the U20 World Champion, narrowly defeated Anastasiya Alpyeeva, the European Champion, with a score of 3–1.

Momentum shifted in the 65kg men’s match as Sujeet Kalkal, the captain of Delhi, made a stunning late comeback to defeat Tumur Ochir Tulga, a World Championships silver medalist, with a score of 8–6. Haryana retaliated through their star athlete, Yui Susaki, a multiple-time world champion, who showcased her prowess with a commanding technical victory over Saarika, bringing the score to 2–2.

Delhi regained the lead in the 86kg men’s bout, where Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar, an Asian Championship bronze medalist, defeated Ashirov Ashraf with an 11–0 score. Haryana responded emphatically, with Akshay Dhere showcasing his dominance against Delhi’s Amit Kumar by technical superiority in the 57kg men’s event.

The heavyweight match proved pivotal, with Ronak delivering a stellar performance to overcome Anirudh Gulia with a score of 12–2, giving Delhi a 4–3 lead. However, Haryana fought back, with Neha Sangwan managing to pin Anjali in the 57kg women’s match, equalizing the scores at 4–4.

In a decisive moment for the championship, Iryna Koliadenko stepped up to compete in the crucial 62kg women’s match. Drawing on her experience and composure, the Paris Olympic silver medalist triumphed over Anjali with a series of turn-and-exposure moves, achieving a 16–0 technical victory. This win not only secured the championship for Haryana Thunders but also sparked jubilant celebrations within their camp.
