New Delhi, Nov 19 (NationPress) Haryana secured the gold medal in the Women's Sabre event, while the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) emerged victorious in the Men's Epee category on the concluding day of the 36th Senior National Fencing Championship. This event showcased intense competition in all three finals held at the KD Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday.

In the final match for the women’s sabre team, Haryana narrowly defeated Punjab with a score of 45-44 to claim the gold. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu each took home bronze medals in this category. In earlier matches, Haryana triumphed over Maharashtra with a score of 45-43, while Punjab dominated Tamil Nadu 45-33.

For the men’s epee team final, SSCB triumphed over Jammu and Kashmir 45-29 to secure the top spot. Punjab and Manipur won bronze medals in this event. Earlier, SSCB had bested Punjab 45-29 in the semifinals, while Jammu and Kashmir defeated Manipur 45-32.
