This event showcased intense competition in all three finals held at the KD Jadhav Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday.
In the final match for the women’s sabre team, Haryana narrowly defeated Punjab with a score of 45-44 to claim the gold. Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu each took home bronze medals in this category. In earlier matches, Haryana triumphed over Maharashtra with a score of 45-43, while Punjab dominated Tamil Nadu 45-33.
For the men’s epee team final, SSCB triumphed over Jammu and Kashmir 45-29 to secure the top spot. Punjab and Manipur won bronze medals in this event. Earlier, SSCB had bested Punjab 45-29 in the semifinals, while Jammu and Kashmir defeated Manipur 45-32.
In the women’s foil team final, Tamil Nadu defeated Manipur 45-36 to win the gold medal. Chandigarh and Chhattisgarh secured bronze medals. In the semifinal rounds, Tamil Nadu overcame Chhattisgarh with a score of 45-35, while Manipur edged out Chandigarh 38-38.
